design center intro

Design the home of your dreams – fast.

We all know how great the outdoors are in the Lowcountry. We want to be on the water, relaxing in the river, or paddleboarding the marshes. That’s why we have compiled every option available and made them available to new clients in one easy location – in our office.

One of the most exciting steps when building with Front Light is designing your new home. The in-house design gallery showcases many of the products that you will find in our homes. As our client, you will work directly with our design coordinator who offers a hands-on, professional, and fun experience.

Our goal is to create a design-focused space that streamlines your selection-making process. Please note that design appointments can vary in time based on the size of your home. We’ll be there every step of the way to ensure your dream becomes reality.

“Every Great Design Begins with an Even Better Story.”
~ Lorinda Mamo, designer

Before Your Appointment, Be Sure to Consider:

Think through your new home and which important areas you want to focus on. Having a good understanding of the look that you are trying to accomplish is key. What are your daily habits? What’s most important to you and your family? Do you know what’s included in your new home? Have you prioritized your budget?

Our design coordinator will work to accomplish the look you want, within your budget. Regardless of the size of your home, it is important that you do your homework and are able to work through each of these questions.

02 Rooms

Rooms (With a Purpose)

What rooms are important to your lifestyle? Do you enjoy hanging out in the kitchen with guests, or is the living room where everyone gathers? Are you active and outdoors a lot to where a large mudroom with custom built-ins a necessity or is a wrap-around porch a non-negotiable must-have? Whatever the purpose, think about the rooms you use the most to be sure we best optimize that space during the design process.

03 Color

Color (or not), that is the question

Color is one of the most important decisions that can be made in the design process. Yes, color can be changed, but because hardware, flooring, and wall color work together, changing colors down the road is an additional investment. Our qualified, on-site design team members are masters at mixing and matching colors, textures, and tones so that you and your family are comfortable and feel right at home from day one.
