Our founder, Matt Green, was inspired by his grandmother Viola, whose glowing front light was a signal that all were welcome to come in for a cookie and time shared together. That feeling of kinship became the blueprint for our name, our logo and how we conduct business and create spaces, buildings and communities where people feel they belong.

Matt, along with his father and partner Delton, established Front Light to create more than buildings–they wanted to create belonging. Starting as a dedicated crew working long nights, they focused on the small details that foster connection—creating porches for conversation and kitchens for sharing stories.

This heritage continues to guide every decision we make throughout Front Light today and as our company grows and evolves.
