The Role
The Vice President of Production is accountable for what gets built, how it gets built, and whether the client is satisfied at every stage.
This leader owns the construction lifecycle end to end, from preconstruction through warranty, ensuring every home is delivered:
- On schedule
- On budget
- To uncompromising standards
This is not a traditional production role. It requires the ability to balance scale with customization, speed with quality, and operational discipline with a high-touch client experience.
What You Will Own
- Full lifecycle execution across multiple communities
- Production strategy, field operations, and trade partner performance
- Cost control, budgeting, and margin protection
- Cycle time performance and schedule predictability
- Quality standards and craftsmanship enforcement
- Client experience from groundbreak through post-close
- Cross-functional alignment across Sales, Design, Purchasing, and Warranty
- Building and scaling a high-performing production organization
Leadership Expectations
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing field team
- Create structure, accountability, and consistency across all communities
- Maintain strong field presence and visibility
- Establish scalable systems, processes, and reporting

What We Are Looking For
- 10 to 15 or more years of leadership experience in residential construction
- Proven success leading production homebuilding at scale
- Experience across the full construction lifecycle
- Track record of delivering across schedule, cost, and quality
- Strong financial and operational discipline
- Experience building and scaling teams and systems in a growth environment
- Ability to lead across functions and hold high standards
Preferred:
- Experience in semi-custom or hybrid building models
- Familiarity with Southeast markets
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
