I really respect and value the life and efforts of not only my parents, but especially my grandparents. If you think of what they lived through and the change they witnessed over their lifetime…it’s remarkable. These are a few quality memories that I have from my grandparents.
From a picture of my two grandmothers, a picture of my grandparents’ general store that they lived above, to my grandpa at the meat chopping block with his apron. And lastly, which I have and will pass on to my kids, a 1960 Jeep Willys.
If you peek around Front Light and take note of our values, you will see the similarities.

Delton Cunningham
Chief Financial Officer
I have always enjoyed accounting—I guess you could say it runs in my blood. My father received his accounting degree from the University of Texas at Austin and was a Cost Accountant for the Carnation Company in Houston, Texas before moving on to a life-long career with the Internal Revenue Service.
My son received his undergraduate accounting degree from Ole Miss and his graduate degree from Wake Forest and is currently an Audit Senior for Deloitte in Atlanta. My first job was as a cashier at my friend’s Dad’s gas station and my favorite part of the job was closing and reconciling each day’s sales.
In Graduate School I was a Cost Accounting Graduate Assistant before moving on to my first job at Arthur Andersen. I am already preparing to groom my grandchildren, as we have to maintain the family tradition of at least one accountant in each generation.

“I always knew I would be an interior designer from a young age because I was more interested in rearranging the furniture in my Barbie dream house than playing with the actual Barbie doll. In high school, I moved from the big city of Washington D.C. to the small town of Vidalia, Georgia where I met my high school sweetheart, Luke. After almost ten years of dating, Luke finally convinced me to move out to his farm where we just celebrated our first wedding anniversary. Luke farms tobacco, pecans, and cattle.”

I grew up in the Minneapolis, MN area where I met my wife in high school. We have been married for 40 years, with three grown children and seven grandchildren. I grew up in a family of homebuilders, with my father and four older brothers leading the way. I have been in the homebuilding business now for over 40 years. I owned a custom home building business in Minnesota and Wisconsin for 26 years prior to moving to South Carolina in 2012. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with the kids/grandkids, friends, and traveling. I am an avid golfer and I use to love flying airplanes, especially aerobatics.

“Growing up here in Bluffton, I went through all my years of school where I was a cheerleader throughout middle school and high school. After graduating I went on to become the assistant coach for the high school team. During that time, I also coached recreational and competitive gymnastics in Bluffton. My favorite part about living in the Lowcountry is going on the boat with my friends and family as well as learning how to golf with my boyfriend.”

I’ve always been a builder at heart ever since I was a little kid. I loved Legos and helping my dad in his workshop, and I’ve always known this was the career I was going to have.
